Live Studio

The whole floor on one board

Who is waiting, who is in the chair, and what is still unpaid — updating itself, so nobody has to ask.

The problem

The 5pm question

On a busy Saturday the same question gets asked forty times: who is next? The answer lives in someone's head, a paper list, and a half-remembered promise to a regular.

Walk-ins waiting longer than they were told

Two stylists both think they have the next customer

A finished client leaves without paying because nobody was tracking the bill

In practice

What it looks like

Capabilities

How it works in detail

01

A queue with real wait times

Add a walk-in in two taps. The board shows how long each person has actually been waiting, not how long you meant them to wait.

  • Two-tap walk-in entry
  • Live wait timer per person
  • Preferred stylist recorded at the door
02

Tickets that build as you work

Start a session and add services and products as they happen. The total is always current, so checkout is never a reconstruction.

  • Add services and retail mid-session
  • Assign a different stylist per line
  • Running total visible to the front desk
03

Nothing drifts

A ticket left open overnight makes your active count meaningless. Sessions carry an auto-close window you set per branch, and anything drifting gets flagged before it rots.

  • Per-branch auto-close window
  • Stale sessions flagged, not silently counted
  • Background sweep every fifteen minutes
04

Unpaid, in your face

The third column is money you are owed. It does not scroll away or hide behind a filter.

  • Outstanding total always visible
  • One tap to take payment
  • Partial payments leave a clean balance

The flow

Start to finish

1

Walk-in arrives

Front desk adds them to the queue with the service they want and who they asked for.

2

Chair frees up

Seat them from the queue — the session opens with their services already on it.

3

Work happens

Add a treatment, swap a stylist, sell a product. The ticket keeps up.

4

They pay and go

Check out from the board. The invoice, drawer and customer history all update together.

Questions

About this module

Yes — it polls every twenty seconds and shows when it last checked. There is no manual refresh button, because a screen labelled "live" should not need one.

Your chairs are booked. Your books shouldn’t be a guess.
