ROI calculator

What a tighter close is actually worth

Two things we can attribute honestly — time at the end of the day, and cash that goes unaccounted for. Move the sliders and see the arithmetic.

The calculator

Your floor, your assumptions

Nothing here is sent anywhere — the whole thing runs in your browser.

Assumptions

  • · 35 minutes saved per end-of-day close.
  • · 0.4% of cash takings currently unaccounted for.
  • · Front-desk time valued at Rs 380/hour.
  • · Half of takings assumed to be cash.

What that looks like

Monthly takings

Hours back at close, a month

Cash variance recovered

Estimated recovery, first year

An estimate from the assumptions on the left, not a promise. It counts only time at close and cash variance — it ignores retail attach, no-shows and membership renewals, which are harder to attribute honestly.

Where it comes from

Four places the money is currently going

Time at close

Counting a drawer by denomination and reconciling against expected takings turns a forty-minute reconstruction into a count.

  • Denomination counting
  • Expected vs counted variance
  • Close signed and dated

Cash that quietly leaks

Variance you cannot see is variance you cannot fix. Once every movement posts to one ledger, a gap becomes a number with a date on it.

  • Every movement posted once
  • Variance surfaced at close
  • Audit trail nobody can edit

Disputes that cost an evening

A stylist questioning a commission figure used to mean re-adding a month of bills. Now it means opening a statement.

  • Line-level attribution
  • Statement per staff member
  • Ties back to the invoice ledger

The audit you hope never comes

Reversing entries and an append-only ledger mean your books answer questions instead of raising them.

  • Append-only ledger
  • Reversing entries, never edits
  • Exportable for your accountant

Measured

What actually changes

Not projections — properties of how the system is built.

0%

Close time removed

Counting notes once, against counting and re-counting by hand

0%

Payments reconciled

Every rupee lands against an invoice line, not a total

0

Silent edits possible

Corrections append a reversing entry instead of overwriting

0%

Data exportable

Every table leaves as CSV, on any plan, at any time

The close

The forty minutes this is really about

Counting notes by denomination against what the day says you should have, then signing it.

Honesty

What this calculator will not do

From the assumptions listed beside the calculator, which you can change. The two we count — time at close and cash variance — are the two we can attribute honestly. We deliberately leave out retail attach, no-show recovery and membership renewals, because attributing those to software rather than to your team would be dishonest.

Run it on a real Saturday instead.

Fourteen days, full access, no card. That beats any calculator.
