What a workspace in Germany is set to before you touch it
Choose the country and the rest follows. None of these are typed in by you, and none of them are typed in by us either — they come from the same reference table the product uses to localise a live workspace.

Why it fits here
What this does for a salon in Germany
Three things that are true of this market specifically, rather than three things that would be true of anywhere.
Numbers written the German way
Amounts render in the reader’s locale, so a euro figure carries a decimal comma and a thousands point rather than the reverse.
Monday weeks and a January year
Both carried from the country, and both what a German salon expects without configuring anything.
Appointment-led, staff-led salons
Per-staff service lists, per-branch opening hours by day, and reminders that state the time on the branch’s clock.

Three different answers appear across the markets we serve — Sunday, Monday and Saturday — so the product stores the day rather than assuming it.

Where imported software breaks
What gets Germany wrong
Every one of these is something a product built for somewhere else assumes, and every one of them is visible to your staff on the first day rather than to your accountant in month nine.
A decimal comma is not cosmetic
Locale-aware formatting is applied to every amount rather than a symbol swapped at the end.
Receipts are expected, not optional
The obligation to issue a receipt for every transaction shapes what a point of sale has to do at the moment of payment.
The tax vocabulary is generic in our table
It says "Tax" and "Tax number" rather than Umsatzsteuer and USt-IdNr. Accurate but bland, and a table entry we would fix.
Turnover by Tax rate

ReducedEUR
Zero-ratedEUR
Each line on a bill carries its own rate in basis points, so several rates on one ticket stay separable all the way to the report.

What it does not do here
The parts we are not going to pretend about
Nothing is illustrated in this section, because there is nothing here to sell. These are the reasons a salon in this market might be right to say no.
No TSE. This product is not a legal cash register in Germany.
German law requires electronic record-keeping systems to be protected by a certified technical security device, with the associated logging and export format for audit. This product has none of that and is not certified. Do not use it as your till in Germany. Everything else here — appointments, customers, staff, stock, reporting — is unaffected, but the till is not ours to sell you.
Tax you pay is not tracked, only tax you charge
Expenses record a gross amount and no rate, so the software cannot tell you your input tax. The report gives you output tax properly — turnover and tax by month, and turnover grouped by rate — and your accountant supplies the other half.
Reports run on dates, not on your financial year
The product knows when your year opens and shows it, but nothing defaults to it yet. You pick the dates. That is a small annoyance where the year opens on 1 January and a real one where it does not.
One workspace is one country
Country, currency and registration belong to the workspace, not the branch. A group trading either side of a border runs one workspace each side and consolidates outside the product.
Straight answers
Common questions about SaloonERP in Germany
Every answer here is also marked up for search engines. They are the same words either way — describing the product one way to a reader and another way to a crawler is the oldest trick on this list and we are not doing it.
Does SaloonERP work for salons in Germany?
Yes. Choosing Germany as the country sets the workspace to Euro (EUR) at 2 decimal places, names the sales tax "Tax" and the registration "Tax number", opens the week on Monday and the financial year on 1 January. None of that is configuration you do yourself.
What tax does SaloonERP handle in Germany?
Every service, product and bill line carries its own rate in basis points, so several rates can appear on one ticket and the report groups taxable turnover by the rate it was charged at — the shape a Tax return asks for. Your Tax number is stored once and prints on invoices. Tax you pay to suppliers is not tracked.
Do you have an office in Germany?
No. Our two offices are in Nagpur and Kathmandu, and support for Germany runs from Nagpur. We would rather say that than imply a local team.
Is SaloonERP compliant with Germany's invoicing requirements?
Can one SaloonERP account cover Germany and another country?
No. Country, currency and tax registration belong to the workspace rather than the branch, so a group trading either side of a border runs one workspace each side. Within Germany you can run as many branches as you like, each with its own address, phone, timezone and opening hours.
What does SaloonERP cost in Germany?
List prices are published in Nepali rupees on our pricing page and start at Rs 2,500 a month, with a fourteen-day trial and no card required. Ask us for a quote in EUR and we will give you one.
Getting help
Supported from Nagpur
There is no desk in Germany. Support runs from our office in Nagpur, on its hours, and we would rather tell you that than imply a local team.
Salons, spas, barbershops, beauty parlours and nail bars in Germany all run the same way here — a chair, a queue, a bill and a till. Whatever it is called where you are, this is the same product.
